Well I had a terrible weekend as far as food and exercise is concerned. I get in these moods from time to time. I don't want to do much but relax. And then when I do, do something, its eating, drinking, and gambling. The two positives from it are I ended up winning money for once gambling and I hooked up with a girl. I weighed in Sunday night at 179 up 7lbs since Thursday. I am sure some of it was water weight/alcohol weight but still. I was frustrated with myself. I slept all day Monday before going into work at 8p.m.. I just was soo depressed and disappointed with myself.
After work at 5a.m. I knew because of all the extra sleep I got I would not be able to go to sleep. Therefore I went up to Mt. Charleston and ran 8.5 miles. Its beautiful up there. The first part was almost all up hill, the highest elevation I got to was 8600 ft. I feels like weighs on your ankles at times. The second part is almost all downhill and I was flying. It felt great!! I ran it in 1 hour 14 minutes and 43 seconds. Which is ok for me, but I want to do better next time. Oh and I saw two deer, one on the way up and one on the way back. I am sore right now but I am drinking my Nightworks which seems to help a lot with the soreness the next day.
I wish I had a small camera that I could take with me running, so I could share pics with all of you. Maybe down the road when I build my business a little more.

Eating, drinking, gambling and women....you have all the vices covered..lol
I think you practiced ... balance. You took a weekend off and then went and worked it off. I don't see why you should feel guilty about doing that once in awhile.

Yes, that must have been a beautiful run! Don't beat yourself up with what happened over the weekend, it took years to gain the weight and it will take a bit to get it off, as long as you keep at it you will succeed!

I think you just showed incredible success for the weekend AND through Tuesday. Because yeah you indulged a bit over the weekend. Oh well...this is life. We can't live in a bubble and never indulge. BUT the difference...you got right back on the horse and took a nice run and did good for yourself! Success!!! (well, and hooking up with someone is always fun too!)
