Awesome Run!!

I got out of work and got home around 5a.m.. I decided I am soo dedicated to training as much as possible for the Boilermaker road race back home on July 12, that I went up to Mt. Charleston again for an 8.5 mile run. I also am very dedicated to losing weight, not just for myself but also for my weight loss challenge and to show my customers and friends, what is possible with good nutrion and good exercise. This is what I had when I got home about an hour before the run:
1 Orange and bunch of Niteworks (just two scoops with 8-12 ounces of water, before running and after) helps a ton with soreness!!
Oranges are something I don't eat very often, partly because they are messy. I was thinking about what I did as a kid playing AYSO soccer and we had oranges at halftime. I figured it was worth a try.

So here's what happened. At first I wasn't moving great, but I brought a timer with me and I set goals in my mind throughout different markers in the 8.5 mile distance. It helped a lot. In my mind I never thought about quiting but my body at times was hurting a lot. At the same time I got a second wind a couple times throughout the run. It feels soo good I cannot even explain it, but I will try. Basically, my body feels electric throughout for a brief time and all of a sudden the pain and wiryness goes away, it is awesome! I wish it lasted longer though. I was hitting all the marks throughout at the times I wanted to reach. Including the final time. The last time I ran it was in just under 1hr 15 minutes. This time at first I just wanted to do better than the last time, but as I got going, I realized I was feeling great and I decided to try for 1hr 10 minutes. I did it in 1:09:50 seconds!! I hit my goal, it feels soo good when you set a goal and hit it.
On a side not, coming home from the run, I got to thinking about a lot of things. Mostly what is going good for me and what is going bad for me.
Bad: Well my finances are a wreck, I have no girlfriend or wife, my car is falling apart and my house is deeply unsidedown and I am trying to get a government modification on it.
Good: I have my health, I found an incredible company that has helped me change my perspective and relationship with food-herbalife, I went from as large as 210lbs down to 172lbs now, I still have a loving extended family, Mom, Dad, 2 brothers and 2 sisters, all grown up now, 1 niece(2yr old) soo cute, 1 nephew(4yrs old)
Especially after hearing about all of these deaths the last two days, I am happy I am healthy. I was listening to something about Michael Jackson on the way home, and they played the song, we are the world, what an awesome song, Michael Jackson has been a little weird, but he sure was a great performer and singer, I felt soo bad for Fare. Fawset(can't spell) but I think she suffered long enough, I am sure she is in a better place now.

Beautiful isn't it!! Mt. Charleston
Have a great weekend everyone!!

Wow! It take me an hour to "run" 3 miles. Not really, but close to an hour. I saw your magic bullet on the counter. I loved mine until I broke it.
