Well, I have been back home in Utica, NY for a couple days now and already, many temptations are around me. On Saturday I went to a Pirate Dress Up party with a campfire in the backyard. There was lots of food and lots of alocohol. I had only one plate of food and no dessert. As for the alcohol, I overdid it a bit. Aboutg four mixed drinks and four beers over 6 hours.
The next day, after the funeral service for my Grandma, we had a big dinner at my parents house. Lots of food and lots of beer again. Once again I was good and only had one full plate of food, and two cookies for desert, one glass of milk. Less beer but a couple still.
Later after the party last night, we went to a local bar and I had lots of drinks with my friends and then we went to a house party. Lots of fun, but I feel bad I am drinking soo much. Mostly social drinking.
Did some biking and running on Saturday. Nothing on Sunday. Monday, did some boating, not much exercise and helped move some furniture, better than nothing.
I think I will restart my food log after my vacation. I am getting frustrated I can't find the calories of many of the foods I have been eating on vacation. When I am in Vegas, it seems to be easier to keep track.
Had some great Chicken Riggies, a Utica special recipe. Look it up. Soo good!!

Have you tried googling the calories? I guess it really depends on the food, but google is always my go to gadget! =]
Sounds like you are having a good time and don't worry too much about the alchol, just get back on track when you get home! It is hard to stay on top of everything when away and attending lots of social events.
Sounds like you are having a good time despite all that has gone on. When you get back here, you can take care of any gain :)
Glad you are having a good vacation!
Thanks for visiting my blog!! Alcohol is the hardest thing for me when staying on track. Margaritas are my favorite, but the nutritional info boggles my mind! Not to mention the co-workers that buy me the extra large when all I wanted was the small.
Good luck!!
vacations dont come around too often for most folks. im glad you're enjoying yourself! the key is to get back on track on your return. i had a slip up sunday, so my opinion may be tainted lol.
Times like these make me glad I don't drink. I usually grab a glass of diet something or even water, just to have a glass in my hand to gesture with (or hide behind.*G*)
I use calorie-count.com for my calorie look-ups. Have you tried that one?
Do the best you can. If you don't journal at least still try to make healthy and wise decisions in your food consumption!
Well, you're mourning, too.
Try not to be too rigid. Let your emotions work through and return to tracking when you get home.
I hate when you can't find calorie information but luckily I have become a pretty good estimator. Haha. Try www.thedailyplate.com They sold their site and now its a piece of shit but the information is still there. Good luck!
Oh and good job at controlling yourself at those parties. I always find it hard to resist free food!
glad you are having a great vacation...Miss you!!

sounds like you are having a good vacation, a little too good?? hehe That's really tough when there is all that good food and alcohol around. Don't beat yourself up too bad about it, just pick back up and get back on the wagon! It's tough eating out too because a lot of it doesn't show calories (which I hope soon will change), but it's always safe to take 1/2 home or share with someone else if it's really big.
have fun!
Thanks for all the thoughts!!
