Slam it repeatedly.Cut it off.....I wonder why they wouldnt give me my PhD in Medicine. I'm clearly a genius.
Stretching - both the quads and the hamstrings.
Maybe more stretching, or even a break for a day ??
Ice is your friend
Ice first 24 hours, then heat.Try an Advil and some stretching. And, I second not running until it feels better.
Warm up then do lots of long stretching. Stay in the stretches for quite a long time. But make sure to do a five or ten minute warm up first. Stretching cold muscles=ouch! Great job on the run!
